Towns & Lakes: holiday scents
The mountain-lined lakes in the Lake Geneva Region offer inexhaustible natural reflections. The lakeside towns in this region are attractive destinations for congresses and seminars.
In the Lake Geneva Region, the scenery around the lakes lined by vineyards and beautiful residences set against the Alps or the Jura provides a fabulous and eternal sight that neither inhabitants nor visitors ever tire of. The sun, the clouds and the water play the leading roles.
The shores are lined with steep, thousand-year old vineyards which enjoy generous sunshine and which produce a dry, mineral white wine: Chasselas. This wine is the ideal accompaniment of what the lakes have to offer to gastronomy: arctic charr, trout and perch fillets.
Sitting on the vast deck of a huge Belle-Époque line boat, visitors can also enjoy a dish of fish while contemplating the beautiful scenery of the littoral.
As a source of flourishing exchanges, the lakeshores play host to many towns that have been built around them. They are a natural focus of cultural and commercial offers and are highly appreciated as congress venues.
